The Adventures of Pinocchio. Story of a Puppet

The carpenter Mastro Ciliegia discovers that his piece of wood speaks.

Another carpenter, Mastro Geppetto, visits him.

Mastro Ciliegia gives to Geppetto the piece of wood that speaks without letting him know.

Geppetto sculpts a puppet: Pinocchio!
Pinocchio is a naughty child. He runs away.
The police thinks Geppetto is a bad father and put him in prison.

Pinocchio returns home in the evening.
He is angry and hungry! He looks for food.

Pinocchio falls asleep with his feet too close to the fire.

The next day Geppetto returns home and reconstructs Pinocchio’s feet.

Pinocchio promises to go to school and do well.

But he meets the Great Marionette Theatre.

The puppets from the show want to party with him.

Their leader is Mangiafoco. He gets angry with Pinocchio because he stops the show.

Mangiafoco wants to burn Pinocchio, but then frees him and gives him five gold coins.

On his way home, Pinocchio meets a fox and a cat.

The Cat pretends to be blind, and the Fox pretends to be lame.

The two animals convince Pinocchio that if he plants his coins they will grow into a tree with gold coins.

The day after, Pinocchio gets into the woods and finds the house of a young Fairy with turquoise hair.

The Fox and the Cat dress up as bandits and try to steal the coins from Pinocchio.

Pinocchio hides the coins under his tongue. The Fox and the Cat tries to steal them by hanging Pinocchio.

The Fairy saves Pinocchio. She takes care of him.

Pinocchio tells lies to the Fairy and his nose starts to grow longer and longer.

The Fairy tells Pinocchio to stay with her till Geppetto arrives.

Pinocchio promises to be a good child, but then he follows his new friend Candlewick to the Land of Toys, a special place dedicated only to fun.

Pinocchio stays in the Land of Toys for 5 months: he is transformed into a donkey. Pinocchio is thrown into the water with the intention of being drowned.

Some fishes free Pinocchio from his looks of donkey and he starts to swim.

In the sea a dogfish eats him, the same one that two years earlier ate Geppetto.

Father and son find themselves inside the belly of the animal, from which they manage to escape thanks to a tuna.

Pinocchio completely changed because of all the experiences lived.

He decides to work to help Geppetto and begins to study as an autodidact.

Pinocchio discovers that the Fairy is in the hospital, seriously ill and with a lot of debts. He visits her and pays her debts.

Finally mature, Pinocchio is transformed into a real boy.
